Nabarangpur-Jeypore-Malkangiri Rail MoU on 10th October.


Nabarangpur:
The much-awaited Jeypore-Nabarangpur, Jeypore-Malkangiri railway project is expected to gain memento on October 10th as the state government will sign a MoU with the railway ministry said Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi.

 To ensure rail connectivity to the tribal districts, the state government had announced to bear 50% and 25% of the construction cost of the Jeypore-Nabarangpur and Jeypore-Malkangiri lines respectively.
It will provide land for free for the Jeypore-Nabarangpur project said Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi. The sources said the ministry and the state government will have equity participation
of 49% and 51% respectively in the joint venture (JV)

Here it may note that the new BJD MP of Nabarangpur Er.Balabhadra Majhi, who was an engineer with Indian Railways, had made the issue his poll plank during campaigning for the General Elections. The two backward tribal dominated and Naxal-hit districts will get place in railway map.

District's Silver jubilee Kabita Patha Utsav held at Nabarangpur.

Nabarangpur:
To mark  the silver jubilee of the formation of the district remarkably, difference competitions were held at Nabarangpur. Poetry recitation was organised at Govt. Girls High School, Nabarangpur.More than 70 poets from the district participated in the programme. 
  
The first collector of Nabarangpur Shri T.Ramachandru,IAS (Retd.) Now Special Representative with Cabinet Minister Rank, Govt. of Telangana, Collector Ms Rashmita Panda, PDDRDA Dr.Poma Tudu, Head Mistress, Ms Supriya Nayak, Member Odisha Sahitya Akademi Booloo Hota, Former Akademi members Jemamani Bissoiy, Lalit Mohan Patnaik, were grace the occasion.
