To mark the silver jubilee of the formation of the district remarkably, difference competitions were held at Nabarangpur. Poetry recitation was organised at Govt. Girls High School, Nabarangpur.More than 70 poets from the district participated in the programme.

Now Special Representative with Cabinet Minister Rank, Govt. of Telangana, Collector Ms Rashmita Panda, PDDRDA Dr.Poma Tudu, Head Mistress, Ms Supriya Nayak, Member Odisha Sahitya Akademi Booloo Hota, Former Akademi members Jemamani Bissoiy, Lalit Mohan Patnaik, were grace the occasion.
