Funds will not constrain for the development of tribals, CM Naveen Patnaik.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for different projects worth around 100 crore  in Nabarangpur district. The projects inaugurated by Patnaik included new krusaka bazar at town, Maternal and Child Health Complex in district headquarter hospital, model degree college building, check dams, bridges, 48 newly constructed Anganwadi centres (2.46 crores) 15 hostel and 5 mini stadiums also  distributed assistances to beneficiaries under Nirman Sramika Yojana, education assistance, marriage assistance, safety equipment’s to a few construction workers. 




In his day-long whirlwind tour of the district, the chief minister addressed public at Umerkote, Dabugam, and at the district level meeting of the Biju Patnaik birth centenary in front of the circuit house.


He reiterated the ruling Biju Janata Dal’s commitment for all round development of Odisha and its people and funds would not be a constrain for the development of tribals. “My government is taking all steps to stop the menace of corruption and the efforts against corruption initiated by our government always remain a priority’ he said.



Food and civil supply minister Sanjaya Das Burma, said Our government providing assistance to the people of the state from birth to death. We also providing adequate benefits to the farmers, kendu leaf pulkers, Nirman Shramik and all section of the working communities, he added



Commerce and Transport minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Local  MP Balabhadra Majhi, and MLA Monohar Randhari, delivered the development programmes of government.

 Among others Umerkote MLA Subas Gond, Zilla Parisad President Motiram Nayak, Collector Rashmita Panda, addressed to gathering.  



Eight Congress activists including a councillor, and 4 BJP activists were detained by police this morning before Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Nabarangpur district.

CM Naveen Patnaik to visit Nabarangpur on 24th.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Nabarangpur district on 24th Thursday.
Briefing the press at the circuit house conference hall food and civil supply minister Sanjaya Das Burma, who is the observer of this district  informed Chief minister Naveen Patnaik, will inaugurate development projects of  Rs. 53 crores in Nabarangpur district during the visit to Umerkote, Dabugam, and Nabarangpur. Foundation stone for important projects worth around 77.16 crores and 48 nos  anganwadi centres worth of 2.46 crores will be dedicated for the better delivery of ICDS services. Besides that 15 nos of hostel and one additional class room constructed under SC and ST department worth of 16.74 crore will be inaugurated during his visit.


Similarly the CM will distribute 56000 beneficiaries with several leverage schemes for their upliftment   and prosperity which include under revitalisation of ESHG near by 4000 disbursed seed money of Rs. 10000 to each WSHG. Banking linkages to 100 SHGs with one lakh each will be given. Under Nirmana Shrimik Yojana various incentives will be given to nearly 3900 beneficiaries for education, marriage, safety, walking tools, by-cycle assistances.  Under Rural Housing 733 Nirman Shrimik will be given work orders for pucca houses and 133 BPGY Special Houses to needy beneficiaries. Under MBPY 740 beneficiaries shall be assisted and for development of agriculture 920 mobile phones to progressinve women farmers will be given. Similarly 160 homesteads less patta will be given to the beneficiaries and 1665 patts will be given to FRA beneficiaries.

In the meeting Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, said we are planning to gather 1.2 lakh people in the three meeting venues. Among others local MLA Monohar Randhari, Odisha Film development corporation chairman Muna Khan, district BJD General Secretary Asish Ranjan Patnaik, Rabi Patnaik, district BYJD president Badrinarayan Singh, Chairman Nabarangpur block Bedabyasa Bhatra,Municipality vice-chairperson Prahalad Tripathy were present.

Astrologer Gopal Patnaik felicitated with Jyotish Samrat.

Well-known astrologer Gopal Patnaik, of Nabarangpur felicitated with Prestigious “Jyotish Samrat” at the 9th Asian Astrologers Meet held at Institute of engineers’ bhawan of Bhubaneswar.  


The conference which recognises research scholars in astrology, palmistry, numerology, and vaastu and hold special discussions on the issue. Over 200 astrologers, including delegates from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, were participated in the conference.
    
Astrologers were felicitated with awards for their outstanding contribution in the field of astrology. Engineer in Chief Bijan Kumar Behera was the chief guest while founder of Bhrugu Jyotish Pandit Sridhar Acharya, coordinated the seminar.

BJD stage dharana against centre’s delay over tribal funds.

The district BJD led by district president Commerce and Transport minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, staged demonstration in front of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) office over the central apathy in giving approval for utilizing funds under different programmes meant for tribal development. 



Speaking to the gathering Majhi said the tribal affairs ministry has provided funds as per Article 275 (1) of the constitution and special assistance to Odisha for the 2016-17, while the ministry is not approving the annual action plan which was submitted by the state government.  Without the sanction to utilise the funds the state cannot be utilised. Due to the delay in giving sanction to utilise funds has affected the livelihood of thousands of tribal people including scholarship of tribal students Majhi said.

Among others chairman of district planning committee, Monohar Randhari, Zilla Parisad President Motiram Nayak, district general secretary Ashis Ranjan Patnaik, member of State Transport authority Pramod Padhy with hundreds of party workers including chairman’s of blocks , zilla parisad members, samiti members, sarapanch's present in the demonstration.
