Glaze hotel and Resort Inaugurated at Nabarangpur.

Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, was the Chief Guest, while district Planning Committee Chairman & MLA Manahar Randhari, Delhi bureau head of Odisha's leading daily The Samaja, Kishor Dwibedi, Deputy General Manager of Corporation Bank, Venkatramaiah Surapaneni, were the guest of honour.

Major reshuffle in Odisha cadre IAS officers

Bhubaneswar:
The Odisha govt today effected a major reshuffle in the senior IAS cadre as as many as 24 officers have been either transferred or given an additional charge. Besides, three senior OAS officers have also been transferred. As per the notification, 1988-batch IAS Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been posted as Principal Secretary Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department with the additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner and MD of Odisha State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA).

1991-batch IAS Madhusudan Padhi, who was posted as Principal Secretary of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare department, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Rural Development department with the additional charge of MD OMFED. Similarly, 2003-batch IAS Dhiren Kumar Patnaik has been posted as Additional Secretary, Agriculture department and his batchmate Srikanta Prusty, Director OTELP, Bhubaneswar, has been posted as Director, Horticulture. 

In the major rejig in the bureaucratic level, eight District Collectors and four PD DRDAs have been changed. 2007-batch IAS Balwant Singh, DM and Collector of Sambalpur, has been posted as Director of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack with the additional charge of Director, Industries.2006-batch IAS Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, presently posted as DM and Collector of Deogarh, has been posted as DM and Collector of Rayagada. 2008-batch IAS Yamini Sarangi, DM and Collector of Kandhamal, has been posted as DM and Collector of Jagatsinghpur.2008-batch IAS M Muthu Kumar, DM and Collector of Bolangir, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Higher Education department. 2009-batch IAS D Prasanth Kumar Reddy, DM and Collector of Malkangiri, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department with the additional charge of Commissioner, Food Safety. 2009-batch IAS Bijay Ketan Upadhyay, DM and Collector of Jagatsinghpur, has been posted as Director, Fisheries.

2010-batch IAS Mansi Nimbhal, presently posted as Director Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disability, has been given additional charge of Director SCERT.
2011-batch IAS Ashis Thakare, PD, DRDA, Ganjam, has been posted as DM and Collector of Bolangir.2011-batch IAS Samarth Verma, PD DRDA Koraput, has been posted as DM and Collector of Sambalpur. 2011-batch IAS Raghu G, PD DRDA Malkangiri, has been posted as DM and Collector of Kandhamal. 2011-batch IAS K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, ADM Rourkela, has been posted as DM and Collector of Malkangiri. 2011-batch IAS Arindam Dakua, PD DRDA, Mayurbhanj, has been posted as DM and Collector of Nayagarh.

2013-batch IAS Subham Saxena, presently posted as Sub-Collector of Baliguda, has been posted as PD DRDA Mayurbhanj. 2013-batch IAS Monisha Banerjee, posted as Sub-Collector of Dharmagarh, has been posted as ADM Rourkela-cum Administrator of Rourkela Municipal Corporation. 2013-batch IAS Madhusmita Sahoo, Sub-Collector of Jeypore, has been posted as PD DRDA of Koraput.
2013-batch IAS Kulange Vijay Amruta, presently working as Sub-Collector of Bonei, has been posted as PD DRDA of Ganjam. 2013-batch IAS Gavali Parag Harshad, Sub-Collector of Nabarangpur, has been posted as PD DRDA of Malkangiri.

Similarly, the three senior officers have also been relocated. Senior OAS officer Sashi Bhusan Padhi, Special Secretary of Higher Education Department, has been posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies. Purna Chandra Pathy, Additional Secretary of Heath and Family Welfare department, has been posted as DM and Collector, Deogarh. Jagannath Mohanty, DM and Collector Rayagada, has been posted as Skill Development and Technical Education department.

Woman footballer felicitated at Nabarangpur

Odisha’s ace footballer Banya Kabiraj who hailing from Nabarangpur felicitated by the Collector Ms. Rashmita Panda, here recently.  Banya was honoured cash award of Rs.5.000/-. She was the vice-captain of the Indian team participated in the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC)  held at Dushanble in Tajkistan  in which Indian team become the runners up. 


Earlier she was the captain of Odisha team that emerged Champaign in sub-junior girls National Football Champaignship held at Cuttack in January.  Banya was the member of the Odisha team that finished runner’s-up in the Junior Woman National Football Champaignship held in Goa last year. She was the member of the Indian team that reached semi-final in the Asian Football Confederation’s under-14 held at Kathmandu, Nepal last year.

Nabarangpur BJD staged demo accusing Centre.

The district BJD led by commerce and transport Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, organised protest rally and staged demonstration in front of collectorate over unfair allocation of rice and wheat to the state by the Centre under the National Food Security Act.

Accusing the centre of allocation large amount of wheat against its demand for rice under food act, the party submitted memorandum to the President of India through district collector Ms. Rashmita Panda. Among other Nabarangpur MLA and Chairman of district planning committee and MLA Monohar Randhari, Zilla Parisad President, Motiram Nayak, Vice Chairperson Nebedita Mohanty, several chairman’s of blocks, ZP members, Samiti members, sarapanch’s with party workers were present at the rally.

NABARANGPUR MP CONCERN OVER AGRICULTURE GROWTH.

Nabarangpur MP Er. Balabhadra Majhi meets the Director General of Indian Council of Agriculture Research DR. Trilochan Mohapatro today in his office. Mr Majhi appraised livelihood situation of farmers of Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency. In the meeting MP also stressed the Information Communication technology (ICT) at grassroot level so that adequate knowledge of farming can be benefit to the Odisha's most least developed district of India. Dr.Trilochan Moapatro assures  to consider the appropriate action for development of pulse and other cultivation in a larger context in coming days. 

MP Nabarangpur Er. Balabhadra Majhi Meets the Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Sobhen Kumar Patnaik on Thursday. During the discussion development of pulse cultivation and oil-seed cultivation and various awareness programmes for agriculturist has discussed. Secretary S.K.Patnaik also stressed to improve crop diversification and new technology at grass root level in current Khariff season.

MP MAJHI MEETS PM FOR NABARANGPUR GROWTH.

Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday for  speeding up development of Nabarangpur Parliamentary constituency in terms of education, road and agriculture.

In the memorandum, he cited that the KBK region has very adverse human development indicators and is one for the most backward regions of the country. Nabarangpur Parliamentary constituency is the least developed and stands at the bottom of the 543 constituencies in the country. Only about 45 per cent of its population are literate. About 200 revenue villages in Malkangiri are not having road connectivity. Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts are not having an inch of railway line, it said.  

Mr.Majhi urged to sanction of Engineering College in Nabarangpur, Medical College either at Malkangiri or Nabarangpur, Major irrigation  projects of Tel integrated project in Nabarangpur, Saptadhara in Malkangiri, middle Kolab project in Koraput district.  Five degree colleges in Nabarangpur, buildings for the govt aided high schools, phase-2 PMGSY roads requested in the memorandum.

MP Majhi suggested merger of Skill Development initiatives within the HRD Ministry for boosting the employment opportunity among the youths. Modi assured to take appropriate measures, MP Majhi said.
