Odisha’s ace footballer Banya Kabiraj who hailing
from Nabarangpur felicitated by the Collector Ms. Rashmita Panda, here recently. Banya was honoured cash award of Rs.5.000/-.
She was the vice-captain of the Indian team participated in the Asian Football
Confederation’s (AFC) held at Dushanble
in Tajkistan in which Indian team become
the runners up.
Earlier she was the captain of Odisha team that emerged Champaign
in sub-junior girls National Football Champaignship held at Cuttack in
January. Banya was the member of the
Odisha team that finished runner’s-up in the Junior Woman National Football
Champaignship held in Goa last year. She was the member of the Indian team that
reached semi-final in the Asian Football Confederation’s under-14 held at
Kathmandu, Nepal last year.
