Two teachers suspended in sub-standard Dal case

Report by Basant Rath; Nabarangpur: Two teachers of Gadia Street UP School, including headmistress, G.Vijaya Laxmi, and assistant teacher Indra Mohapatro, suspended while they were kept sub-standard MDM Dal, in the school on Saturday.

After receiving a complaint from the people and media persons, Collector, Sibabrata Dash, visited the school and found that there is sub-standard MDM, dal, cooking for the students he asked the teachers about the supply of dal the teachers told that they purchased the dal from the market.

After knowing the fact collector directed the DI, Kailash Panda, to suspend both the teachers and asked for the explanation from the CRCC, Padmabala Patnaik, and BRCC, Banamali Patnaik. In the school only six to seven students are coming, hence the collector directed to merge the school to Gouda Street school which is within 500 meters.
