International Women’s day was observed at different places in the district, Rally and Competitions events marked the celebration of International Women’s Day in the district headquarters on Tuesday. The district administration with Municipality Nabarangpur decided to make the day special for the women’s of the district. The SHGs, Teachers, students, and lecturers of college, local women’s participated in different competitions held at the Stadium.
They ran races balancing potato on spoons held in their mouths. The musical chairs, tug of war, Mehandi, Kabadi, perfect lady, miss, and mrs Nabarangpur, vanity beg competition drew much cheer and applaud. Collector, Siba Brata Dash, was the chief guest, while PDDRDA, Dhruba Charana Panchbhaya, Nabarangpur MLA, Monahar Randhari, Chairman of Municipality, Prahalad Tripathy, Executive Officer, S.N. Meher, were guest of honour. For the first time in the district various programmes were organized on the occasion
