A four-member Unicef team visited Nabarangpur, headed by its Odisha
chief Yumi Bae on Friday.
The Unicef will play a pivotal role in providing technical support to
the district administration for enhancing reproductive maternal and child
health, besides integrated child development through gram panchayat resources
centre, said district Collector Rashmita Panda.
"We have strategies to demonstrate in one block where we implement all
activities through community mobilisation and gram panchayat resources centre
will be key to improve all indicators like health, nutrition, education, water
and sanitation programmes, she added".
Speaking on the occasion Yumi said the Collector Nabarangpur requested
us to provide technical support to strengthen the indicators of the district.
‘We have a fruitful discussion and we shared different ideas to strengthen and
monitor overall development by building village capacity to demand services
through village planning and foster linkages between the Government and the
communities,’ she added.
Among others, PDDRDA Poma Tudu,Sub-Collector Gavali Parag Harshad
were present at the meeting.
