At least eleven persons were injured after a passenger bus skidded and overturned near
Jhitukuguda under Papadahandi police limit of Nabarangpur district on Tuesday
morning.
According to reports, the
accident took place when the bus was on the way to Umerkote from Bhubaneswar.
The incident took place while the driver lost control over the steering near an U-turn following which it turned
turtle. The injured have been admitted to Padadahandi community health centre
(CHC) and some of them were later shifted to Nabarangpur district headquarters
hospital.While three persons were
seriously injured sifted to Vishakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar.
In the meanwhile State
commerce and transport minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, along with State
Transport Authority member Pramod Padhy, visited Papadahandi CHC and meets the
accident victims.
