Diarrhoea breaks out at village in Nabarangpur

Diarrhoea has affected Disariguda village under Naktiguda gram panchayat of Papadahandi block in Nabarangpur district with at least eight children being diagnosed with diarrhoea symptoms.
After a medical team reached the village, two affected children were shifted to the Papadahandi hospital.
The locals alleged that there are no basic sanitary amenities in the village. Nabarangpur Collector Sibabrata Dash directed the RWSS Executive Engineer to install a tube-well at the village.
The villagers further alleged that Pharmacist of the mobile health unit of Maidalpur, Priyabrata Puhana, demanded money during the treatment of the afflicted people of the village. The Collector directed the CDMO to suspend the Pharmacist.
