block of the district and Chitrakot in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.
In this regard, the first preparatory meeting for the festival was held

Padmasai Mali, Kaakar Committee vice president, Ashok Patnaik, secretary Ram
Prasad Patro and Bijaya Kumar Patnaik were present who discussed about how to
make the festival a grand success.
A committee was formed in which Collector Ajit Mishra will be the
chairman, while Jogendra Swin, Kunja Bihari Dash, Dharam Sing, and Prabhakar

in neighbouring Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, where more than 40,000
Odia people are residing.
The festival will encourage analytical, cerebral and
creative events, among the members of the literary fraternity. Our main motto to
encourage the odia speaking people in Bastar district “to adopt the language of the mainstream
literature, which can bring social transformation, and our efforts have to be
made to restore Odia language in the region” Hota added.
