The Mondei Lok Mahotsav the five-day cultural
festival of Nabarangpur district is continuing at Mondei field of the
district headquarter town. The second evening started with Odishi
dance, Rajastani folk dance, Sangeet sandhya of melody queen Ira
Mohanty’s song stole the hearts of the huge audience
gathered under a chilly sky at the event.
The Dhangada dhangdi folk dance of Kala vikas Kendra, Kandhmal, Dhemsa dance of Karchamala, Ghumar of Nupur Kolkota, Aru Eka of Cuttack, enthralled the audience by their performance on stage.
Besides that Goti betani of Dabugam girls high school, Goti Pua of cultural dept, dance of Odishi kala vikasa kendra, Umerkote, performed respectively.
In the Pallishree mela attractive decorations were also put up at the stalls by various other government departments leading to massive footfalls in the evening.
Besides the food stalls as many as 100 types of handicraft stalls showcasing their products mostly rural artisans, SHGs from within and outside the district have been set up at Mondei field.
