Odisha Formation Day celebrated at Nabarangpur.


District level Odisha state formation day was organized here at Mission Shakti Hall, by district information and public relation department on Monday.

Sports and youth affairs Minister, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, was the chief guest paid rich tributes to the late leaders who played a key role in the formation of a separate Odisha state. He described how after several sacrifices, Odisha was carved out of the combined Bengal-Bihar- Odisha Province in 1936 on a linguistic basis. Mr. Majhi Underlined the need for maintaining unity among odias and upholding the art and culture of Odisha.

Collector Yamini Sarangi, Presided over the meeting among others Local MLA, Manohar Randhari, Municipal Chairman, Prahalad Tripathy, Public Prosecutor, Praksh Chandra Mishra spoke on the occasion.  At the morning rallies of school children was held, Ms. Sarangi along with the officials paid tribute to the martyr by garlanding idol in the town. Different competitions were also held to mark the occasion.
