ATMA General Body Meeting held.

The Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) new committee general body meeting was held at Ashok Meheta Conference Hall, here on Wednesday. Collector and Chairman of ATMA, Sibabrata Dash was the chief guest while, DDA, Brahamarbara Sahu, ADFO,CDVO, DDM, NABARD,Horticulturist, Convener and Chairman, of BFIC, newly nominated members were present at the meeting. A details annual action plan for the district was prepared. The members stressed on awareness campaign, farmers training, exposure visit of farmers, to facilitate transfer of new technology from laboratories to the farms would be brought. Mr. Dash, said that the farmers need to be sensitised and encouraged to make a shift from the traditional to scientific farming. He attributed the low farm production of the district due to low irrigation facility, so top priority for irrigation will be given. He further emphasize to setup Four numbers of farm school will be set-up in each block, and Gramya Krusuka Mancha in each revenue village, and the Krusaka Sathi, should enthusiastically work with Krusaka Club formed by NABARD.
