The three member Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team started investigation in the alleged large-scale corruption in implementation of the rural job scheme under MGNREGS in 2006-07.
The team headed by K.P Tripathy, along with SN Rath, and SC Khatua, verified documents and muster rolls of MGNREGS at DRDA and Tentulikhunti block on 25th to 27th and field inquiry at Pujariguda, Gram Panchayat on Friday.
As per the direction of the state government, the additional district maristrate, (ADM) Narendra Pradhamn, who has appointed nodal officer in the district to cooperate the CBI teams in the investigation,"
A CBI team arrived here on Wednesday "We have been helping them in beginning probe," said Nabarangpur district collector Sibabrata Dash,
The teams, on the first phase, would probe alleged irregularities of MGNREGS in 16 villages said the officials.
