Odisha IT, Minister gets 1st class in +2 Exams

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha’s IT, Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi, who had appeared for the Plus-II Arts examination from Panabedha, college in Nabarangpur district,
passed in the first division securing 376 marks out of total 600.
Mr.Majhi was a student of Science at Biju Patnaik College, Bhubaneswar in 1995-96. However, he failed to clear the exam due to some inevitable reasons.
Later, Mr. Majhi entered politics and became the Block Chairman at the age of 19 after his father's demise. He was then elected to Nabarangpur Zilla Parishad.
Ramesh Majhi was later elected as the MLA on BJD ticket from Dabugaon in 2004. During his second tenure as an MLA from Jharigaon in 2009, he was inducted into the Cabinet by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Mr. Ramesh Majjhi currently holds the portfolios of IT and Fisheries & Animal Resources (Independent Charge). He also holds the portfolio of SC & ST Development,(State)
“I am happy for the success amid hectic schedules,” Majhi said.After a long 16 years, he again wrote the papers on becoming a minister.
