Odisha Government to appoint 18 Mobile Veterinary Dispensaries says minister

A review meeting of Fishery and Animal Resources held under the Chairmanship of the department Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi. Chief District Veterinary Officers of all 3- districts were present. It has been decided to appoint 18 Veterinary Doctors to open 18 Mobile Veterinary Dispensaries in 6 districts. At least 100 animals will be treatment daily with these Mobile Units.

Department Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi told that this department is meant for service to the poors. They should be benefitted by all the plans and projects of the department. The Minister called upon the Departmental Officers to provide all facilities to the poors.

Departmental Secretary and Chairman of OMFED Satyabrata Shoo expressed the plans and projects of the department. He told that Animal Health Treatment Camps will be organized by the department in every Panchayat through Kalyani Project. Atleast 10 thousand animals will be treated in this camps. About 210 Quintals of grass seeds will be supplied by 10th June.

From this year more cheaper generic medicines will be supplied. Refrigerators will be supplied to all veterinary hospitals to keep injections. About 1.5 crore will be incurred expenditures. Director Bishnu Prasad Panda, Chief of Kalyan Project Y.A.Pathak were present.
